In a group of 3 to 4 we are require to translate the given words into shapes and forms. we would need to transform design elements into 3D form. We will need to first understand and explore the given words and go through 4 stages of transformation. This would be done during our tutorial class, it a workshop kinda feel where students sit down doing mock-up while getting advise from our tutor.
The first process is to explore and understand the word we chose, that in intertwine and to sketch out 9 artwork using 3 different design elements translating the word intertwine.

the next following 3 steps is that we need to create mock up using different materials stated.
The first week, we would be using model board.
The second week, we would be using foam and cardboard box
The third week, we are free to use any other material like wire, plasticine... etc (basically everything) or could repeat the material used before.

This is a very interesting assignment as the lecturers provide us an opportunity to use our tutorial time as a workshop for us to learn and make mock up together. To communicate more with our groupmates and to know where we stand from time to time by seing the progress from other groups. So that we would make more effort on our progress to not left behind.
Next, i also learn that every material has it own advantage and weakness by doing the mock up using different materials every week. This allow us to explore more and more materials to find the right materials to use.
Other than that, this assignment also prepare us for our upcoming final project as is prepare us to know how to translate a word in to a model and how a hanging mobile would look like. Reflect on what we should have done to make the hanging mobile better and perform it on our final project.
