Project o1 >> Acoustical Case Studies
The aim and objectives of this report is to provide a concise and well-documented analysis that can showcase our understanding of our case study of acoustical theory in auditorium halls. Done so over the course of five to six weeks, the learning outcomes are as follows:

1. To study and develop an understanding of auditoriums through their design layout and judge its influence on the effectiveness of the acoustical design for its designated purpose.
2. To study the general acoustical characteristics of an auditorium hall and develop a good understanding of the physics behind their functions.

3. To be able to produce a well-documented report that surmises our findings and analysis of our case study – which can then serve as an example of our accumulated knowledge of the relationship between acoustics and space.

The first project of this module has us pick an auditorium of our choice, and conduct an acoustical case study on it. We have to analyze the design of the auditorium, from its form, layout, materials, etc. and determine the effectiveness of this design and whether or not it suits the intended purposes of the auditorium.

We picked the Damansara Performing Art Center Auditorium for our case study, and below is our resulting report.

Project o2 >> Integration Project
This Project aims to integrate our understanding of the principles of lighting design in the context of our final Design Studio project. It encompasses artificial and daylighting systems as well as PSALI design strategies. We are required to select 2 significant spaces in the Studio proposal to suggest lighting strategies and integration. Communicated through research, visuals and drawings, a A4 report and A2 presentation board was submitted.
